Sue Settles - Lab Technician & Office Manager
Dr Wade L. Haslam, Orthodontist, Corvallis, OR
I have worked in an orthodontic office since 1978. I began working for Dr. Haslam when he opened his practice in 1994 as receptionist, financial coordinator, and lab technician. As the practice grew and additional staff was hired, I continued working in the lab. Although, I miss working directly with patient and their families, I enjoy the job flexibility that the lab offers.

Over the years retainers and appliances have evolved from a single color choice to a variety of designs and colors; glow-in-the dark, disappearing colors, and add-ins like glitter and stickers. This makes my job fun! It’s exciting to create an appliance for a patient who has chosen a special design to fit their unique personality.

My husband, Donn, and I have been married since 1980 and we have two children. In addition to spending time with my family, I like to scrapbook, rubberstamp, read and spend time outside riding ATV’s.

Sally Barrington - Appointment Coordinator
Dr Wade L. Haslam, Orthodontist, Corvallis, OR
I have been working for Dr. Haslam since September 1996. My job as appointment coordinator puts me in contact with all patients and their families. I love the field of orthodontics and seeing the transformation of smiles. I started my working career in an orthodontic office years ago and feel I’ve come full circle in being back in the field. The most satisfying part of my job is working closely with the patients, children and adults alike, making them feel welcome and important in our practice. I am very much a people person and enjoy the personal contact I have with our patients and prospective patients.

On a more personal level, I am married with two grown children. I am a transplant to Oregon, growing up in Oklahoma and spending ten years in Nevada before moving here in 1988. I expressed my love for children by operating a child care business in my home while my own children were growing up. I enjoy cooking, primarily baking, with a specialty in cheesecakes. I also enjoy reading and am a member of a book club.

Leeanna Nielson - Financial Coordinator
Dr Wade L. Haslam, Orthodontist, Corvallis, OR
My dental career began in 1974 with “on-the-job” training from my first employer in Idaho. I have enjoyed working in a variety of positions since then. I have worked for Dr. Haslam since the summer of 1998. I enjoy helping make the reality of a “Great Smile” for all of our patients, children and adults, through the financial aspect of the practice. Insurance has always been one of the areas that keep my job interesting and challenging. I enjoy putting together the contests, drawings and our summer Pool Party. Check it out next time you are in!

My husband, Gordon, and I were married in 1985. We have a “Yours, Mine and Ours” family with seven wonderful children. We moved to the Philomath area in September 1997 from western Idaho. I love this area and I do not miss the snow and ice! I love to walk on the beach and work with ceramic and porcelain. But, my favorite pastime is spending time with my family and watching it grow with each new addition.
